Tesla Tries And Fails To Flip A Model X

For a long time, Tesla has been boasting about how safe its cars are. It turns out that all this boasting was for good reason, as the Tesla Model X officially became the highest safety rated SUV with 5-star rating in every safety category by NHTSA. And by a significant margin, too.

Tesla has just released a video of their in-house testing of the Model X and how likely it is to roll over, which as you can see by the video, isn’t very likely. The main reason behind this is down to its extremely low centre of gravity. You can thank the battery packs for that.

NTHSA gave the Model X a rolling resistance of 9.30% and in its dynamic tests, couldn’t flip the thing.

This is just the start for Tesla, as they expect the same safety result for the Model 3, too. Other EVs like the Chevrolet Bolt are also receiving high safety scores, so we hope they can keep up the excellent results!
