James May Breaks Down During Filming In Poland

As you know by now, The Grand Tour trio is currently filming in Poland for an upcoming episode of the Amazon Prime Video car show. They landed in the city of Gdansk earlier this week and since then we’ve guessed that they’re following the story of World War II as they travel west across the country.

Gdansk saw them visit where the first gunshots of the war were fired in a Chevrolet SSR, a Crosley Convertible, and a Mitsuoka Le-Seyde. Heading west, they drove to Zielona Gora in Poland’s Lubusz province where I assume they drank lots of wine from their famous vineyards, then eventually arrived at Poznań where they raced open-wheeled racecars at a track.

Here, Richard Hammond crashed into the barrier, and while he was unscathed, his car was far from pristine.

Now, it looks like Richard’s bad luck has been passed to James May as it’s now been revealed that the presenter has broken down as they continued their journey to Stalag Luft 3, a German prisoner of war camp.

Supplied by @patryg1, a fan Instagram account has a photo of May pushing his Crosley onto a trailer with help from the team while executive producer Andy Wilman looks over them.

“Ooops! Well now it’s Clarksons turn lol,” a follower comments (sic).

Their journey continues today, so keep up to date via our social platforms: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
