Jeremy Clarkson Is Blown Away By The Positivity For Clarkson’s Farm

Jeremy Clarkson has revealed on Twitter just how surprised and happy he is after fans have expressed their positivity for his new show, Clarkson’s Farm. The Grand Tour presenter explained that he was “genuinely amazed” at the reaction from fans.

Clarkson’s Farm follows the ex-Top Gear presenter as he struggles to turn his land into a working farm. He had several issues during the year, including bad weather conditions, poor planning, and of course, the global pandemic. But despite this, the show has been one of Clarkson’s most highly regarded pieces of work yet.

The BBC, Clarkson’s previous employer must be kicking themselves after this show’s success, as Jeremy reveals that eh went to them first about the idea.

“It’s a funny little dysfunctional family we’ve got there but it’s great. It’s such a harmonious and wonderful workplace. I thought, ‘This might work on television’.

“So I started pitching it to Amazon, who immediately said yes. Actually, I first pitched it to the BBC in 2008 and all they were bothered about was, ‘Where would the production office be?’.

“I said, ‘London, I suppose’. And they said, ‘Oh no, you can’t do it in London’.”

He continued: “That’s all they said. They never asked what the show was about or where it was going to be made. Amazon was a bit less bothered about that – and here we are.”

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
