Jeremy Clarkson Is Trying To Sell Alcohol At His Diddly Farm Shop

As we’re sure you know by now, Jeremy Clarkson has been running a farm for the best part of a year while filming a new show for Amazon Prime Video. The show, I Bought The Farm, will document the year of a farmer, the challenges they face, and how they live, all while embracing the well-known humour of The Grand Tour presenter.

To bring in some extra income, the ex-Top Gear presenter built a farm shop on his Diddly Squat Farm which opened last year to the public. Obviously, the pandemic has put a downer on his plans for an open shop, but since then, Clarkson began a website to maintain sales.

Now, he’s applied to West Oxfordshire District Council for permission to sell alcohol for consumption on and off the premises in Chadlington, near Chipping Norton, according to the Oxford Mail. Reportedly, the shop will be attempting to reopen in March, so we assume it’s going to open with a bang with alcohol on sale to celebrate the end of lockdown.

What Is The Farm Shop?

The shop website describes the shop as the following:

a “small barn full of good, no-nonsense things you’ll like. We do not, for example, sell kale.

“All the stuff we do sell is produced either on Diddly Squat Farm or by our neighbours in the Cotswolds. Apart from the hats obviously, and the aprons. And the tee shirts.”
