Jeremy Clarkson On The Future Grand Tour Changes: “We’ll See How This One Is Received”
The Grand Tour returned last month with an all-new episode from Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May as they explored the world of French cars. Due to the pandemic, they weren’t able to travel to France as you’d expect, with them instead driving multiple cars across Wales and England before finally looking longingly over the Channel.
Now, in an interview with the press, Jeremy has revealed what fans should expect from the episodes to come, as well as what changes we should be expecting, too.
“We’ll see how this one [series] is received, but there are plans to do something similar again,” the Clarkson’s Farm presenter revealed.
“But for now, we can’t wait to get back to doing more big foreign travel.
“So, it’s tricky because everything’s so fluid at the moment.
“It takes six months to plan a foreign trip for us, and who’s to know what’s going to happen in six months’ time?”
While on the subject, he also discussed what it was like filming with his two long-time co-presenters:”There’s plenty of falling over and bashing, but in between, there are moments when the three of us sit down and have sensible conversations.
“Also, the car race we have is the best we’ve ever done. Genuinely the best we’ve ever done.”
“The French are extremely good at making hot hatchbacks, but there’s some debate over which is the best,” he noted.
To those who are yet to see the episode, entertainingly named Carnage A Trois, the ex-Top Gear presenter explained what you should look out for:
“Yes, there are a couple of stunts,” he said. “There’s the Citroën SM, which we had to sit back and drool at because it’s so beautiful.
“There’s still plenty of us c***ing about,” he laughed. If you’re genuinely interested in why the French are different, there are some interesting points made.”
It’s likely the next series of Clarkson’s Farm will be released onto Amazon Prime Video before the next episode of The Grand Tour. But with fans praising it highly on its release with some even preferring it to the car show, it’s unlikely they’ll be disappointed.
