Jeremy Clarkson Rejects Rumours Of Famous British Show Coming To An End
Reports emerged today saying that Jeremy Clarkson had been dropped from the famous British quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. On top of this, rumours also swirled that he and long-term partner Lisa Hogan had broken up. We didn’t report on this due to the lack of a trustworthy source, but fortunately, Jeremy Clarkson has denied the rumours on Twitter.
According to Variety, Jeremy Clarkson’s contract wasn’t going to be renewed for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
“We have a contract. We’re contracted to this [season], so we will do that,” said Carolyn McCall, boss at ITV, reportedly told Variety. “And then we have no future commitments. And we haven’t made any statements about that.”
This comes after Jeremy’s controversial column about Meghan Markle where he said she should be pushed to parade the streets naked with “lumps of excrement thrown at her.” Since this, there were several rumours of Jeremy’s shows – The Grand Tour, Clarkson’s Farm, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – would come to an end.
Jeremy posted:
“So many kind messages about today’s reports. But relax. Lisa and I have not split up and I have not been sacked as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”
This also put to bed rumours that he and his partner Lisa Hogan had broken up, after quotes from his latest column were twisted by the media.
“You’re a legend Jeremy! Btw how’s pepper keeping?” a fan asked, responding to his tweet.
“Good. You and Harry Metcalf are doing excellent work on highlighting the challenges, hard work and vital role British farmers do – and the help they need. I’m glad your other work allows you to keep going,” a second fan added.
Unsurprisingly, fans are very glad to hear that his entertainment won’t be coming to and end, although some are now wondering whether Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will be cancelled due to low viewership. This is unknown, but we’ll be interested to find out when this current season comes to an end.
