Jeremy Clarkson Takes Swipe At Local Police As They Threatened Him With “Inquiry Into Racist Behaviour”

According to Jeremy Clarkson, a police call handler informed him that he would be compelled to ‘open a new line of inquiry into racist behaviour’ after talking to her ‘in this vein’. This came after he’d called the emergency services after being worried about a couple of ‘travellers’ he’d seen on his farmland.

Writing in his column for the Sunday Times, a “couple of chaps” came up the driveway and requested a photo with him. According to the presenter, there was “something about them” he “didn’t like the look of”, especially after he’d been worried earlier that day when he spotted a drone circling his property.

Wanting more help, he phoned the police on the non-emergency line, 101.

The Clarkson’s Farm presenter said the following:

“She seemed to think I was reporting someone for wanting a selfie. But she did at least ask me to describe them, so I said they were Travellers.

“There was then a pause, after which she said that if I continued in this vein, she’d be forced to open a new line of inquiry into racist behaviour.

“That was scary, and tricky too, because how do you describe someone without bringing colour and religion and race into it? I explained to Magnum PI that they’d actually introduced themselves as Travellers, but she couldn’t get her head round this either, so the call ended and I waited for the actual police to not show up.

“Naturally they obliged, which is why I went to bed with a big ebony stick that’s used throughout Africa for killing lions.”

The Grand Tour presenter then went on to lash out at the West Oxfordshire District Council after they’d sent a letter to Clarkson commenting on the plans he has for the future of Diddly Squat Farm and a new potential restaurant.

The officer requested Mr Clarkson to describe how traffic would be handled during events or filming in order to avoid a reoccurrence of the “highway disruption and subsequent safety issues seen previously”. As a result of the popularity of Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon, local roads were clogged with cars seeking to visit the business.

Jeremy then revealed that Amazon had actually sent out private security to help him with his worries of potential burglars and vandalism before he asked for a “private police force”.

He explains:

“Motto: ‘We catch crims and lock them up and we don’t care about bicycle parking or diversity in the community,”.

Simple really. Do you agree with the ex-Top Gear presenter?
