Jeremy Clarkson’s Daughter Fights Against Presenter’s “Misogynistic” And “Racist” Comments Meghan Markle

Jeremy Clarkson has been trending on Twitter over his recent comments on Meghan Markle in his column for The Sun, and now he daughter, Emily, has publicly gone against the Grand Tour host.

Clarkson wrote in his latest column:

“At night, I’m unable to sleep as I lie there, grinding my teeth and dreaming of the day when she is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant, ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her.

“Everyone who’s my age thinks the same way.”

Readers posted to Twitter with their disgust over the “utterly vile and disgusting comments” in the former Top Gear host’s column. One Twitter user wrote:

“I will openly admit I’ve looked the other way to some of Jeremy Clarkson’s behaviour over the years as he produced some of my most cherished tv memories as a child. That is my failing. But this misogynistic, racist bile that is a pure incitement of violence is reprehensible.”

Emily Clarkson has since posted to her Instagram stories to confirm she does not agree with her father. Last week Emily posted a screenshot of The Daily Mail’s coverage of Meghan Markle. She wrote:

“This publication, and many like it, are hellbent on DESTROYING this woman. Love her or hate her, (or like me feel a large amount of ambivalence towards someone who I don’t know and who’s actions barely affect me), the rhetoric around her ought to scare you. I don’t wanna hear loads of comments justifying this, trying to prove to me that she is bad or toxic or deserving of this… to my mind, no one deserves this. It is inhumane.

“My steadfast defence of them has never been of the individuals I don’t know, rather of two people who have, objectively, been treated APPALLINGLY. And I genuinely feel concern for anyone who can look at how she particularly has been written/joked/spoken about and feel that it’s justified. It’s bullying on a mass scale and it drove a new mother to want to end her life.

“There’s a bunch of stuff people are choosing to debate, from Meghan’s experience of racism at the hands of the press (not for anyone to deny IMO), to whether or not they should be doing and saying various things- I don’t know them or enough about the royals to have answers on that. Im not a super fan blind to every critique of them, all I do know is that whilst I’m watching this, I feel a DEEP discomfort with our lack of humanity towards these two people.

“One publication with almost 25,000 hits matching their combined names. Another combined 50k if you search their names individually. In one of however many publications doing this to them… And now they wanna have their say in a six past episode?!! FAIR F***S IMO.”

Emily re-posted this previous post to her Instagram stories with another adding:

“My views are and have always been clear when it comes to misogyny, bullying and the treatment of women by the media. I want to make it very clear that I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I remain standing in support of those that are targeted with online hatred.”
