Jeremy Clarkson’s Hilarious Take on Martin Brundle’s Chaotic Grid Walk Encounter

During the pit walk ahead of the highly anticipated Monaco Grand Prix, a comedic moment ensued between Sky Sports F1 presenter Martin Brundle and actor Orlando Bloom, catching the attention of former Top Gear and current The Grand Tour host Jeremy Clarkson.

As Brundle carried out his renowned pit walk, he came across Bloom and engaged in a brief interview. The actor seized the opportunity to promote his upcoming film, Gran Turismo, adding an element of excitement to the encounter.

Taking to social media, Jeremy Clarkson couldn’t resist making light-hearted jests about Bloom’s slightly chaotic demeanour during the interview. In a playful tone, he wrote, “Orlando. What have you been doing over lunch?”

Clarkson’s witty comment sparked a series of humorous responses from other Twitter users. One fan, referencing the Red Bull cost cap controversy that made headlines last year, quipped, “It’s no wonder RB breached the cost cap if that’s their hospitality.”

Another fan described the entire interview as cringe-worthy, responding to Clarkson, “What a cringe interaction.” This sentiment was shared by other viewers who echoed similar thoughts, with one F1 fan expressing relief in not being the only one who found it awkward.

Meanwhile, Clarkson’s enjoyment of the Monaco Grand Prix was evident as he shared another post, this time regarding pole-sitter Max Verstappen. Playfully accompanied by a photo of Verstappen wearing ice packs to keep cool before the race, Clarkson jokingly wrote, “Christ. With that lot on board, my money’s on Max.”

As the race unfolded, it turned out to be one of the best of the season, with rain making a slow race incredibly interesting with strategy changes, tyre issues, and a lack of grip for all involved. We now head to Spain for this coming weekend, in what could be yet another interesting race.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
