New Grand Tour Special Episode Cars Revealed As Jeremy Clarkson And Co Film In Warwickshire

The Grand Tour was only recently spotted in Crickhowell, south Powys, Wales, last Friday, but now even more recently they’ve now been spotted filming in Leamington Spa of Warwickshire, England. Thanks to our sources, we have videos that reveal exactly what cars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are driving during this special episode.

While the first video was captured in Wales and shows Richard Hammond driving what looks to be a Renault Scenic aggressively, trying to get into a parking space, these later videos were captured in England. It shows the trio of presenters driving through Leamington Spa, a small town in the centre of the country.

 

Jeremy Clarkson appears to be driving a Citroen CX station wagon, Richard Hammond a Talbot-Matra Murena sports car, and James May a Renault Avantime MPV.

Each car is french, hinting at the story behind this new episode, with Clarkson and May’s cars focussing on space for family and luggage, while Hammond’s is the complete opposite. Hammond’s Murena is a french sports car from the early ’80s, with this specific car sporting a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine. It produced around 91 horsepower when new.

Clarkson’s CX sports a 2.5-litre petrol engine, but with this engine available both in a turbocharged and naturally aspirated guise, we can’t tell which this is.

May’s Avantime is very interesting, sporting only two doors but plenty of space, with this specific car featuring a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.

So there’s obviously a French theme going on, with three cars that different, but at the same time, quite similar in certain ways. Interestingly, two of the three – the two with visible headlights – have yellow tints.
