Richard Hammond Discusses Change Of Plan For The Grand Tour: “It Worked Out For The Better”

The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick has been released for a little over a week on Prime Video and has received a lot of praise for for the presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, ‘going back to their roots’ and making it more about the cars. Although, it is still jam-packed with insane challenges and their hilarious chemistry.

The latest episode had been planned to be filmed in Russia, however, when Russia invaded Ukraine, they moved the location to Scandinavia.

Richard Hammond has spoken out about the change in plan and how he felt it was ultimately better. He explained:

“I think it worked out even better,”

“We sort of revelled in the landscape more. We know that part of the world, we’ve filmed there before, so to connect those places up was great.

“Scandinavia is one of those places we’ve returned to many times over the years, like South Africa, Australia, and bits of Germany. Some places that just ‘get’ us, and always have.”

With the latest release doing so well, fans are already turning to when the next special will be gracing our screens. A release date has not been announced yet, however, we do know that it is based in Eastern Europe.
