Richard Hammond Reveals Rally Mishap In Richard Hammond’s Workshop Series 2

Richard Hammond has revealed the release date of the second series of his show, Richard Hammond’s Workshop, as well what fans can expect from the first episode.

The first season came to our screens in 2021 where viewers saw The Grand Tour host starting on a new venture with a repair and restoration workshop, The Smallest Cog, something that Hammond has said has always been a lifelong dream of his.

Hammond teamed up with a trio of co-hosts, Neil, Anthony and Andrew Greenhouse, who had their own family restoration business which Hammond used to use for all of his own vehicles and we are set to see the same team for the upcoming second series.

Viewers are set to see Hammond and the team navigate their way through the classic car restoration business a year on from setting up the business. Hammond is reportedly concerned that the company is yet to make a profit, so hopefully there will be a look into the backgrounds of how the business works.

The former Top Gear host has revealed in an interview with Whattowatch.com, that fans do not have too long to wait as the second seres of Richard Hammond’s Workshop will air on Monday 17th October on Discovery +. He has also explained that there will be ten hour-long episodes to follow.

Hammond also gave fans an insight into what they can expect from the first episode of the second series. He explained that he has an encounter with some “furry guests”, goes away to the Lake District with Les, one of his close friends, and gets involved with the Herefordshire Trials which is a classic car rally. Hammond hinted to a mishap in the rally that he get a “little bit stuck”.

When asked about what he loves about the Lake District, Hammond explained:

“Buttermere is my favourite place in the world. I first went there when I was 17 to do a walk on my own with my dog. I stayed in Sykes Farm Campsite and one day I was sitting in the Bridge Hotel beer garden having one pint of beer because that’s all I could afford. A sheep broke into the garden and my sheep dog immediately hid under the bench which made everyone laugh. That’s when I got chatting to Les and we’ve been best friends ever since. Buttermere is sort of my spiritual home.”
