The Grand Tour: Richard Hammond Teases A Second Part To The Lochdown Special
Richard Hammond has revealed that a second part to The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown is on its way.
The Grand Tour Presents: Lochdown has finally been released to Amazon Prime Video, and fans were quick to watch and absorb the new episode. There’s been quite a wait since the last episode where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May travelled to Madagascar to find hidden pirate treasure. But in a recent interview, Richard has revealed that there will be a second part to Lochdown coming soon.
The Grand Tour… Lochdown Review: Clarkson, Hammond, And May At The Top Of Their Game
Lochdown saw the presenters drive through Scotland with the objective of finding out why American cars never came to the UK. And while it’s received mixed reviews, we were mightily impressed with the raw-feeling episode.
Talking to This Morning, Richard Hammond revealed a second part, after he was asked if he had any clues as to where they could be going next:
“Well this is part one of a two-part series of two shows that we did while we weren’t able to travel to the other side of the world and had great fun doing.
“And by the way, they’re really quite warm and gentle as a result.
“There’s a subtly different feel to them. We’re very pleased with them.

“I can’t tell you anything about the second one or I’ll get shouted at.”
He joked that he’d “Like to give you a politicians answer and be really clever and dance around it,” but he’s promised to reveal more information as soon as he can.
Fortunately, we already know a lot about this next episode…
The Grand Tour Wales Special
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May were spotted filming in Wales earlier this year. They were each driving French cars: Jeremy Clarkson appears to be driving a Citroen CX station wagon, Richard Hammond a Talbot-Matra Murena sports car, and James May a Renault Avantime MPV.
If it follows a similar structure to Lochdown, then we’ll see the presenters behind the wheels of multiple cars, with this already being confirmed as Jeremy Clarkson drives Mike Brewer’s Citroen SM.
My friends at @thegrandtour are using my #Citroen SM .. @JeremyClarkson seems to like it..👍 thanks fella. @RichardHammond @MrJamesMay pic.twitter.com/U9bsABnoAG

While we don’t know exactly what they’re doing, we know they eventually end up in Leamington, Warwickshire, where they caused quite a stir.
