You Can Still Buy A Brand New Lexus LFA From The Dealer

Clarkson himself once said that if someone offered him the choice of any car that had ever been made, he would choose a dark blue Lexus LFA. This makes it even more surprising that there are still new LFAs just waiting at dealerships to be sold. Never before driven examples waiting for someone to come and pick up the keys.

To make this even more of an astonishment, there were only 500 produced in the first place. So if the car really is this good, why aren’t they all sold? Most supercars are sold out before they even hit the press. Most sell straight from the automaker. The Lexus LFA – not the same story.

According to Toyota, there are 12 LFAs still available and classified as dealer inventory. Where id they come from? Well, Lexus explains that when sales figures started drooping in 2010, Lexus wanted to make sure there were cars still available just in case an existing owner wanted to buy another one. They also wanted to make sure that there were some sat in dealerships to, I suppose, make the brand seem less… dull. And I can say that, because I own a Lexus.

Shoving an LFA between two stately saloons certainly adds a bit of appeal, doesn’t it?

Lexus adds that some dealerships don’t want to sell them. Can you blame them?

Who thinks Jeremy should get one? Because as far as I can tell, he hasn’t owned one yet – can anyone shed some light?

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
