Top Gear: The Stig To Launch New Dating Show On Famous Test Track – Speed Dating With The Stig

In a surprising turnaround reveal, it’s been confirmed that Top Gear is getting a dating show spinoff, with The Stig presenting it on the famous Top Gear Test Track at Dunsfold, Surrey. It will be called Speed Dating With The Stig, and will feature the racing driver stepping up to host the show. Exactly how he’ll do it is unknown.

According to The Metro, single people are currently being found by the BBC, who will be placed into a first date situation while being driven around the track.

‘BBC Studios Productions has filmed a light-hearted series for Top Gear’s digital channels that sees single petrolheads attempting to enjoy a first date in the back seat of a saloon car driven at speed by Top Gear’s the Stig. ‘Speed Dating With The Stig will debut later this year,” a spokesperson told The Metro.

There will be ten episodes each lasting around 8 minutes, which will presumably feature on Top Gear’s social sites.

Top Gear asks the following:

“Are you a single petrol head looking for love? Is the Top Gear Test Track your idea of the perfect first date? Apply now for the chance to meet your motoring match in an all-new digital web series. Send a video telling us about yourself, the kind of cars you love and what your car says about you.”

Current Top Gear presenters Top Gear presenters Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris won’t be involved.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
