Here’s 2019’s Most Important Car Move Trailer – Ford VS Ferrari
Yesterday was a great day. Why? Because we got our first glimpse at Ford V Ferrari – an action packed movie based on the 24 hours of Le Mans from the 1960s and Ford’s desire to crush Ferrari.
With powerhouse stars such as Christian Bale as British sports car driver Ken Miles, and Matt Damon as the iconic Carrol Shelby, the film is based on Ford’s three year campaign to break Ferrari. It appears to be heavily inspired by Ron Howard’s work in the successful film, Rush – a cult classic that tells the story of James Hunt and Nikki Lauda’s 1976 rivalry in Formula 1.
In Ford V Ferrari, the focus is on Ford’s insane desire to bear Enzo Ferrari at his own game. Two years into the famed GT40 Mk1 racing program, Henry Ford II had almost nothing to show for his work resulting in Ford giving the reins to Shelby for the 1964 season. With Miles by his side, and in this story only 90 days to fix the plagued Ford GT Mk1, Shelby got to work, managing to turn the Mk1 into the all-conquering and iconic MkII.
