2021 Maserati MC20 Supercar Leaked Before Official Release

The 2021 Maserati MC20 has been leaked before its official online release by Maserati. But we don’t mind, because it’s one hell of a looker.

The MC20 signifies a new lease of like for the Italian brand which has slowly fallen from its overlooking pedestal, and this is reflected in the design language of this new supercar. It has soft lines and curves at the front, sporting the recognisable but slightly smaller Maserati air intake. Follow the design back and it gets more angular, starting with a modern headlight design. Butterfly doors adorn the sides, and the swooping roof tails off into a curvaceous rear that’s given thin and long LED taillights to add a sense of aggression.

Inside there’s a lot of carbon fibre, and black bucket seats with blue stitching. The automatic gearbox is adjusted via buttons on the transmission tunnel, and there’s a rotary dial to select different driving modes. Above this, a touch screen controls the infotainment and there’s a digital gauge cluster behind the steering wheel.

Sat in the middle of the car is an engine named “Nettuno”, sporting 3.0-litres of V6-shaped capacity and twin-turbos. It shows off with an advanced twin-spark-plug pre-chamber combustion system and 621 horsepower at 7,500 rpm alongside 538 lb-ft of torque that comes on between 3,000 and 5,500 rpm. The auto ‘box is by Getrag with 8 speeds and only sending power to the rear wheels, however future variations could include a hybrid model, or even a fully electric version.

The full car will be fully revealed tomorrow, so let’s wait and see what else is to come.
