Honda S2000 revamped For 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon

With the Honda S2000 reaching its 20th birthday this year, the Japanese car manufacturer will be bringing a whole new range of parts and accessories for the iconic sports car to the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon.

And yeah, the photo above looks good, doesn’t it? Unfortunately, that’s all we’ve seen from the updated roadster. But Honda has notified us that these tweaks include an updated front bumper, updated suspension, and a more modern audio system. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until January to have a proper snoop at the Tokyo car show.

There isn’t much else to shed light on expect for what we can see from the image. The lights look aftermarket, as do the wheels. And for some reason, the car looks more narrow than the standard S2000. This could be due to the widened front grille of the new front bumper, however.

We can’t wait to see what Honda has in store for this updated S2000, but more importantly it begs the question: are they returning to the old sports car simply because it’s the 20th anniversary, or is there a possibility that they’re trying to shine some light on the model before a potential release. We’ll see, but for now, let’s just cross our fingers.

We’ll leave you with a review from the very little Richard Hammond.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
