Joe Biden Will Be The First Person To Drive The All-Electric Chevrolet Corvette

Following Joe Biden’s signing of the executive order to make 50% of all new cars sold in the US be zero emissions by 2030, the President of the United States has opened up about a conversation he’s had between himself and GM CEO Marry Barra.

The President is a well-known car enthusiast, owning a number of interesting cars himself including a 1967 C2 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. He’s the original owner, and claims that it’s the only car he’s ever loved. This car was once featured on Jay Leno’s Garage, but now it looks like he might be eyeing up something newer after receiving the original as a wedding gift.

”I’ve got a commitment from Mary Barra, when they make the first electric Corvette, I get to drive it,” the President said.

“You think I’m kidding, I’m not kidding.“

During Biden’s announcement of this new order, he was stood in front of several EV cars, including the new Ford F-150 Lightning and the GMC Hummer EV. Later, he was shown driving the new F-150, becoming the first person outside Ford to do such a thing.

This is all in the hopes of more people purchasing electric vehicles. And on top of this, a California Senator has also proposed further cash incentives on top of the $7,500 that is currently offered.

This is a huge moment for America, and we should all be watching very carefully.
