Lamborghini To Release Super Yacht With 4000 Horsepower

Lamborghini has decided to make a luxury yacht, yes you heard correctly, the Italian supercar company (which began its life making tractors), is now trying their hand at their mega rich clientele’s second favourite vehicle.. the super yacht.

And they wouldn’t be the first to try either, as Honda have announced a speedboat which is based on the Honda NSX and even Lexus have chimed in with their amazing Lexus Sport Yacht concept.

It comes as no surprise that Lamborghini’s offering blows both of these yachts out of the water.. quite literally. The Lamborghini Tecnomar, built in partnership with The Italian Sea Group, is designed to resemble the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37, which is the company’s first hybrid supercar. To be honest, we think Lamborghini have done a pretty good job making the Tecnomar look like the Sian.

Stefano Domenicali, who is the Chariman and CEO of Lamborghini said of the Tecnomar:

“This yacht represents the significance of creating a valuable partnership, at its best: our co-operation allows the essence of both organizations’ style and expertise to be transferred to different worlds, sharing in their diversity to interpret and add value to the final product in a new environment. If I had to imagine a Lamborghini on water, this would be my vision. I’m delighted to celebrate this successful collaboration.”

This thing isn’t just Lamborghini in looks, it’s obviously Lamborghini in power thanks to it’s twin MAN V12 engines that produce a total of 4,000 horsepower. This colossal amount of power takes the Tecnomar’s top speed to 60 knots and the yacht measures 63 feet long and weights in at 24 tons – which is amazingly light for a yacht.. which is most likely thanks to it being almost entirely made out of carbon fibre, just like most road worthy Lambo’s.

The similarities don’t end there either as the boats hardtop roof is inspired by Lamborghini’s range of roadsters as well as the Sian and the Terzo Millennio. You can also customise the Tecnomar to Lamborghini’s exacting standards thanks to their Ad Personam program. Heck, even the steering wheel comes straight out of a Lamborghini and it even features the infamous starter button which has become synonymous with Lamborghini.

If you want to get your hands on one of these, obviously you need to be incredibly rich, so rich in fact that you are so confident you can afford it that you’re not even worried about the price tag.. because Lamborghini hasn’t even given it one. The production is also going to be limited to to 63 units, so you’d better cross your fingers and hope for a phone call from Lamborghini.
