Man Locks Himself Out Of BMW While It’s Still In Gear And Stuck In Sand

If you thought you were having a bad day, at least you haven’t locked yourself out of your own BMW while it’s wheels are turning thanks to it still being in gear. Yep, that’s exactly what this guy did after he got his German saloon stuck in sand.

We’re not sure how he’s managed such a thing, but unfortunately, unless you have access to a second key, not a lot can be done to remedy the situation apart from getting a professional to come out and crack the door open for you. All of this before the fuel runs out and you’re stranded anyway, potentially with damage to the fuelling system.

Obviously, the driver of the 3 Series must have got out of the vehicle to have a look, maybe thinking he could dislodge the car from its sandy prison before quickly jumping back into the car before it loses control. I expect, once he did this, the door shut behind him and the car automatically locked itself. That’s my guess, but… who knows.

Unfortunately, we’ll never know what happened to this driver and his car, or how he got back into his car, if he did, before it ran out of fuel.

All we know is… he’s pretty stupid.
