Move Over Robert Pattinson – Michael Keaton’s Batmobile Is For Sale

We’ve only just reported on the new Batman reboot featuring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader and Matt Reeves as director. His Batmobile looks to be based on an old American muscle car and features a twin-turbo V10 powerplant. But the Batman that captured a lot of our hearts was Michael Keaton’s with Tim Burton as director. His car of choice was jet-powered and featured the iconic wings and long body. Well guess what, a replica is for sale.

This Batmobile is currently listed on Toy Barn for sale, and features… wait for it… a real turbine engine producing 400hp. It’s a Boeing turboshaft engine from a drone anti-submarine attack helicopter, and via a four-speed semi-automatic transmission, it sends power to the rear wheels. If that didn’t sound good enough, know that it’s completely road legal and titled. Count me in.

It runs on either Jet-A fuel or kerosene, and it takes plenty of it according to the owner. But before that puts you off, the machine guns actually work. Well, okay, not quite. They’re replicas that fire blanks thank to a bit of oxygen and propane via a button inside the car.

So do you fancy a something a bit more interesting than your standard ICE or EV? Fancy a car that will get you more looks than anything else on the road? This might be your chance…

Watch the video below to see how it was made.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
