Mulholland’s Legend 480 Takes The TVR Torch And Runs With It

We pretty much all love the car’s made by TVR, but sadly, it’s been a while since we’ve seen a new one. Not to mention, their Griffith has been indefinitely delayed by red-tape. Well, thankfully a man with a dream, named Graham Mulholland, has an exceptionally elegant solution- the Legend 480!

You see, Mulholland isn’t some regular bloke, he actually owns a company which manufactures Formula 1 components, out of such high-end materials as carbon fibre. Drawing from this experience, and his love for TVR, Mulholland has announced his first in-house sportscar.

Not only does it have the backing of someone with composite manufacturing experience, but also Damian McTagget, a designer from TVR, has designed the Legend 480.

The Legend 480, will be a two-seat, front-engined, rear-wheel-drive roadster. It combines a 480 horsepower V8 with a six-speed manual gearbox and, of course, a carbon fibre chassis developed by their own composite division.

To me, the marque [TVR] excelled by true principles of what a sports car should be and delivered a truly exhilarating driving experience. The Legend 480 as our first vehicle will replicate a proven formula, but we will be using the latest advanced manufacturing know-how and a world-class supply chain to achieve an expected quality and ownership experience.

Mulholland will build these Legends in their factory located in Derby, right in the center of England. They even say to expect deliveries to start as soon as July of this year!

This very ambitious spiritual-successor to the TVR, will precede several other models from the company, if everything goes according to plan.

No word yet on a price, at least publically. However, they’re taking orders now if you’d like to support the mission of bringing light-weight roadsters back to the UK.
