Snoop Dogg Gets His Cadillac ‘Snoop DeVille’ Restored For Enjoying the California Sun

Caliboy, the owner of the YouTube channel aDaywithCALIBOY, has walked us through a restoration he’s done to Snoop Dogg’s iconic Cadillac DeVille. While the famous rapper was in two minds to sell the 20 year old car, he’s now given it to the talented restorer to work his magic. Now, after some work to the roof and a good wrap, the DeVille is ready to continue its life in the Cali sun.

Who is Snoop Dogg?

Snoop Dogg is a legendary rapper and actor who has been a prominent figure in the music industry for over two decades. Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. in 1971 in Long Beach, California, he first rose to fame in the early 1990s as a member of the rap group N.W.A. with his distinctive smooth and laid-back vocal style.

Snoop Dogg’s solo career took off in 1992 with the release of his debut album “Doggystyle,” which became an instant classic and established him as one of the top rappers in the game. The album featured hit singles such as “Gin and Juice” and “What’s My Name,” and reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

Throughout his career, Snoop Dogg has released a total of 17 studio albums and has worked with many other prominent artists, including Dr. Dre, Pharrell Williams, and Wiz Khalifa. He has also dabbled in acting, appearing in films such as “Starsky & Hutch” and “Training Day,” as well as hosting his own reality TV show, “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.”

In addition to his successful music and acting careers, Snoop Dogg is also a well-known car enthusiast. Snoop’s love for cars can be traced back to his childhood, when he would often accompany his father to car shows and races. He grew up admiring classic cars and had a particular fondness for Cadillacs, which he often rapped about in his songs. In recent years, Snoop Dogg has become known for his impressive collection of cars, which includes a variety of luxury and sports vehicles. He has been spotted driving a Lamborghini Aventador, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and a Bentley Mulsanne, to name a few.

Snoop Dogg’s love for cars extends beyond just owning them. He has also been involved in car culture events, such as the annual Lowrider Magazine car show, where he has served as a judge. He has also partnered with car companies, such as Chrysler, on various projects and has even released his own line of custom-made lowrider bicycles. In addition to his passion for cars, Snoop Dogg is also an advocate for sustainable transportation. He has been a vocal supporter of electric vehicles and has even converted some of his own cars to run on electric power.

Early 2000’s Cadillac DeVille

The early 2000’s Cadillac DeVille was a luxury sedan that offered a smooth and comfortable ride, as well as a number of high-end features. The car was powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produced 275 horsepower, allowing it to accelerate… kinda quickly?

Inside, the DeVille was spacious and well-appointed, with plenty of room for passengers to stretch out and relax. The car featured leather seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a number of convenient features such as automatic climate control and a premium sound system. But its arguably best feature was its magnetically controlled shock absorbers. These provided a Rolls Royce-like driving experience with amazing shock absorption with the system adjusting constantly to road conditions.

Snoop’s Cadillac DeVille

The ‘Snoop DeVille’ was wrapped in the same colour as before, a candy apple red, with the original paint receiving UV damage from the strong California sun. We don’t get to see a shot of the fantastically lazy but glorious 4.6-liter Northstar V8, but we can imagine how sweet that thing sounds.

Unfortunately they had to lose the pinstripe detailing on the exterior of the car, but it looked great after the work was completed. The car isn’t in the best condition however, with the chrome wheels needing a polish as well as the gold tipped exhaust. Snoops isn’t around to pick up the car, so Caliboy takes the car for a spin before dropping it off to his people.

Alex Harrington

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
