The 2021 BMW 4-Series Gets Adorned In Carbon Fiber M Performance Parts

In photos of the BMW 430i and M440i we were presented with the company’s new grill design. Now thanks to some images which have surfaced from BMW’s European press release, we can see some images of the M performance additions to the controversial new coupe.

After leaking in a brochure a few days ago, prior to its initial reveal, we saw that the 4-series will look like the Concept 4 shown by BMW last year. With its enlarged grille taking center stage in the new styling direction for the company.

According to the images of the new M Performance variants, these versions will be absolutely plastered with carbon fiber bits. The new grille gets surrounded in carbon, as does the underlining intake, as well as the side intakes and the new splitter on the front.

On the side, new wheels with many spokes replace the standard ones, and the M Sport brakes can bee seen through them with their red calipers. Other than those changes, we get long black door appliques, with badging, carbon inserts on the doors, and more carbon on the mirrors.

The rear of the car gets a carbon fiber spoiler, which is especially thin and low-profile.Your typical silver exhaust tips get a fitting blackout, as do the badges.

On the inside of the car, carbon fiber (surprise) gets fitted on all the trim from the center console to the dash. There’s also a M Sport steering wheel, with carbon fitted spokes and shift paddles, as well as som alcantara inserts.

If anything, BMW made an honest attempt at covering the vehicle in everybody’s favorite material, just in case their new grille didn’t get the warmest reception. Honestly, it’s starting to warm on me though. For the price of over $60,000… that’s probably a good thing.
