The Aston Martin Valhalla Is James Bond’s Next Car

The AM-RB 003, another spawn from the legend that is Adrian Newey, has recently been renamed as Valhalla, continuing the Aston tradition. And now, maybe not so surprisingly, it’s going to be James Bond’s next vehicle of choice. Yep, that means there’s going to be plenty of performance under the spy’t right foot during the next film, which will be starring Daniel Craig as the mysterious 007. But anyway, more about the car.

It’s being marketed as the Valkyrie’s baby brother, and will be using similar aerodynamic technology that’s been taken straight from the Red Bull Formula 1 team. It’s packing a hot twin-turbo V6 behind the driver’s cockpit, and while this Cosworth-made combustion engine would be plenty for most, Aston believe that when mated to an electric motor, the resulting hybrid powertrain is more what they’re after. Yes, this is going to be very fast. Think McLaren P1 fast. And we can only hope that it will be packed with rocket launchers and smoke screens during the film.

Aston Martin is keen on maintaining their heritage, so it’s only right that they also include the classic DB5 in the film, too. We’re not sure you can beat the sound of a classic British V8, but we may have to wait until we see the next Bond film to decide properly on that. And hey, look who it is! We think Prince Charles fancies one, too…

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
