Tushek TS 900 H Apex – A 236MPH Hybrid With 950HP

Slovenian automaker Tushek has announced plans to launch a new hybrid hyper car at Salon Prive.

A brief history on Tushek for those who don’t know: Tushek debuted in 2012 with its breakout model, the 450hp Renovatio T500. Nearly a decade later they have returned to the automotive scene with the TS 900 H Apex.

Boasting more than twice the horsepower as the Renovatio with 950hp. To achieve such immense power, the TS 900 has a 4.2-litre turbo V8 engine as well as an electric-hybrid system in the form of a pair of electric motors mounted on the front wheels. As of right now, Tushek won’t say what batteries they are using or if the TS 900 H has an electric-only mode. The range is also currently withheld.

Tushek claims that this new hybrid hypercar will be the lightest hypercar on the road, with a curb weight of just over 3,108lbs thanks to a chrom-moly spaceframe chassis and carbonfiber body panels. This makes it even lighter than the all-electric Lotus Evija, which tips the scales at 3,725lbs.

Thanks to such an impressive horsepower rating and the lack of weight, the TS 900 is capable of a 0-60mph time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 236mph, according to Tushek. To be able to put that much power to the road, the car rides on a set of Pirelli Trofeo Series R tires. Braking is taken care of thanks to a set of Brembo brakes and large ventilated brake discs.

Similarly to the Chevrolet Corvette C8, the TS 900 H Apex has a removable roof, but also boasts a pair of scissor doors which you can see below.

As of right now there is no pricing information or a hint of how many units Tushek plans to build, but you can see the TS 900 in the flesh when it debuts at Salon Prive, September 5-8th.
