Why You Should Never Be An Idiot In A Rental Ferrari

Why do people have a need to rent an expensive supercar and take it to a place where they’re more than likely to write it off in an event of pure stupidity? Because that’s exactly what this chap did when he rented a Ferrari 458 and took it to some canyon roads.

The guys driving is, according to the video, used to driving a Subaru WRX STI. A fast car yes, but not quite on 458 level. It gets even worse when he started show boating to his partner sat in the passenger seat. This is where I stopped being amused by this video and turned a little cold towards the man.

I BET THIS RAN THROUGH HIS HEAD!

If there’s one thing I will never do, it’s putting my partner in danger. If I want to push my car to those kinds of speeds and forces, then I’ll go alone. I would never let her be in that situation. Unless of course we were on a track and she was kitted up and willing. On top of that, there’s a big difference between him and I. I have advanced driver training. I started racing at the age of twelve, and I know how to handle a car and when not to push the car. As you can see from this video, he doesn’t quite know his, or his car’s limits.

But how could he know the car’s limits? It’s a rental after all, which beings be back to my original point. Why push a rental that hard?

Enjoy the video above, and let me know what you think.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
