The Grand Tour

Watch a Koenigsegg Regera Outrun Armed Guards in Company’s Mini-Blockbuster

Koenigsegg has been going hard with cool videos lately. When the Geneva Motor Show was cancelled, the company’s CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg, made a virtual tour of their amazing booth.

A couple of weeks later, Koenigsegg drove their 1,700 horsepower Gemera to meet up with Polestar representatives driving their Polestar Precept.

In that video the two Swedish companies talked about their similar designs, and the future of the country’s high-end cars.

Now, Christian von Koenigsegg has gone full out blockbuster. With Sweden’s freedoms regarding lockdown, they were able to make a whole short film, involving a heist, a car chase, and even yachts.

This film has such a laid back vibe at first, with Koenigsegg washing his special Regera in the Summer sun.

It’s not long before we start to see the “Ghost Squadron” locking the Regera in a bunker to keep it safe from envious car-nappers.

The climax of the film involves a bunch of old Volvos driven by the Ghost Squadron, chasing down the Regera as explosions are going off around them.

There are stunt jumps, which are well choreographed to the music, which acts as a great motivator for some Beats by Dre headphones product placement.

It really is well put together and shot.

I’m not going to give away the ending, but I will say… there’s a reason that they don’t sell energy drinks to children in Sweden.
