F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Where And How To Watch The Upcoming Race

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be kicking off this Friday and will be bringing the 2022 F1 season to a close.

Max Verstappen already took the win for the driver’s championship at the Japanese Grand Prix, however, the battle for second and third is ongoing between Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. After the Brazilian Grand Prix yesterday, both Perez and Leclerc are going into the last race on exactly the same amount of points with 290 each. George Russell, who got his first career win in Sao Paulo, is close behind with 265 points.

Red Bull have also already won the constructor’s championship but Mercedes and Ferrari are still competing for second and third. Ferrari are going into the Abu Dhabi GP with 524 points and Mercedes are creeping up behind with 505 points. Ferrari have been experiencing power unit issues recently, whereas, Mercedes have found some late season improvements leading to their 1-2 win in Sao Paulo.

Max Verstappen holds the track record at the Yas Marina Circuit with a time of 1:26.103 which he achieved at the controversial 2021 Grand Prix.

The ending of last years race was incredibly controversial and saw Michael Massi, race director at the time, having to step down from his position. Here’s to hoping for a less controversial finish to the season.
