F1 News: Lewis Hamilton Spotted With Brad Pitt As They Talk Upcoming F1 Film
Mercedes driver and F1 champion Lewis Hamilton has been spotted alongside Brad Pitt during the weekend of the Austin Grand Prix to talk about their upcoming movie. The movie, which will be produced by Hamilton, will focus on Pitt as he mentors a young driver who’s trying to battle his way to the front of the F1 grid.
The movie will eventually be released to Apple TV, but before it goes into full production, a group of those involved met at a restaurant in downtown Austin called Eddie V’s Prime Seafood.
Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt were joined by a number of others, including Toto Wolff, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei, as well as Joseph Kosinski who will be directing the upcoming film, as well as Hamilton’s father Anthony, and Linda, his stepmother. Following this, Pitt was seen walking the pits and talking to team principals on the Friday of the Austin Grand Prix to gain more information on the sport.
Interestingly, the film will be produced under the same budget constraints F1 teams have had from 2021 of $140 million (£125 million), but it’s yet to be confirmed whether this was on purpose or simply a coincidence.
As well as this, it’s also been reported that Daniel Ricciardo is working with Apple TV and Disney to executively produce a documentary on Lewis Hamilton. ABC Signature, Temple Hill, and Lionsgate TV have also joined the project.
