F1 News: Mercedes Goes All-In with Jaw-Dropping £70 Million Campus Upgrade

Mercedes is embarking on an ambitious project to revamp its Formula 1 plant in Brackley with a staggering investment of around £70 million. The goal is to create a cutting-edge campus that will be completed by the end of 2025, designed to enhance the working environment and provide state-of-the-art facilities.

Toto Wolff, the team principal of Mercedes, revealed that the existing Brackley campus was originally built for a staff of 350 people, but with the team’s growth, it now houses 1250 employees. The new campus aims to go beyond a typical workplace and embrace a “Silicon Valley style” approach.

Wolff envisions the campus becoming a self-contained village, offering a range of amenities and advantages reminiscent of the renowned Silicon Valley environment. He explained the team’s vision to Motorsport.com, stating:

“The Brackley campus was built to accommodate 350 people, and today we are at 1250.

“We want it to become its own little village, with all the amenities and benefits that you would expect from a Silicon Valley-style environment.”
