F1 News: Sergio Perez Has “No Idea What Is Going On” After Potential Penalty

Sergio Perez has given his best race of the 2022 F1 calendar as he takes the win at the Singapore Grand Prix. He was able to put solid time between himself and Charles Leclerc who finished second in his Ferrari, and takes home his second win of the year. But after an issue under safety car, the Red Bull driver could be getting a penalty which could potentially take away his win.

Talking to the press, he said the following about his brilliant performance:

“It was certainly my best performance. I controlled the race even though the warm-up was difficult. The last few laps was so intense. I gave everything for the win today.”

However, he is ready to talk to the stewards in ten minutes time at the time of writing to discuss a potential penalty:

“I have no idea what is going on they just told me to extend the gap,” Perez said in regards to the potential penalty. about it.

He also commented on the fact that Max came P7, losing his chance to become world champion this weekend:

“It’s nice for Max to get it in Japan for the team and for Honda. Overall, a good day for the team.”
