F1: Sergio Perez Takes The Win At A Dramatic Monaco Grand Prix

It’s safe to say that the rain was the most exciting part of the Monaco Grand Prix, followed closely by Pierre Gasly’s brilliant overtaking earlier in the race. But apart from that, there is very little to discuss about the race, apart from maybe its place in the future of F1.

Charles Leclerc lost his first place position due to Ferrari ruining one of his pit stops by pulling him in at the same time as teammate Carlos Sainz, but Sergio Perez gets his first win at the Monaco GP.

“This is us! Come on! Vamos! Well done guys!” Perez shouted to his team through the radio.

“Checo, you have won Monaco! Unbelievable drive! What a brilliant drive” hoots Horner on the radio.

“So happy to be part of this team, thank you guys.”

Haas had a bad race with Kevin Magnussen retiring and Mick Schumacher crashing horribly.

Behind the Red Bull and Ferrari leaders sits Mercedes’ George Russell, with McLaren’s Lando Norris behind him. Fernando Alonso sits 7th, with Lewis Hamilton sat in 8th behind him.

There were a few overtakes that we didn’t see due to poor camera directing, and, hey… what more can I say? I’ll be surprised if Monaco makes it to next year. How dull.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]
