‘James May: Our Man In Japan Jingles’ Are Now Available To Download – “Bim, Guess What?”

If you’ve seen Ames May’s latest Amazon show, Our Man in Japan, then you’ll know what I mean when I ask you about “Bim”. If you haven’t seen the show, then what are you doing with your life? Get onto Amazon now and watch it, you fool.

“Hey Bim, guess what?” James May’s robotic tour guide would ask him as he traveled over the Kamo River on the famous Shijo-Ohashi bridge. It’s safe to say that the little robot didn’t work too well, as it kept repeating the same fact again and again. But it had a certain level of cuteness that made us fall for the little guy. I think even James fell for it as it dangled around his neck.

But now we’ve finished binge-watching the show, we want that little voice back, and thankfully, someone’s nice enough to allow that to happen. The SoundCloud clip below is available to download for you to use as a test message tone or even a ringtone if you’re really strange.

And if that isn’t enough, then you can also download the train station jingle that James May put together in the series. You can download it here:

Is this going to turn into a cult classic? We think so. Certainly beats Justin Bieber.

Alex started racing at a young age so certainly knows his way around a car and a track. He can just about put a sentence together too, which helps. He has a great interest in the latest models, but would throw all of his money at a rusty old French classic and a 300ZX. Contact: [email protected]

  1. I was shocked how racist and rude May was. When he was in the train station looking at the signs in Japanese he described the characters looking like 2 Mexicans fighter over TV. It’s even worse because he has no clue he’s being racist.
