Jeremy Clarkson Announces Latest Clarkson’s Farm Success

Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm has announced its latest venture, the Piddly Diddly Pizza Place.

Making the announcement on Instagram, the post read:

“Piddly Diddly Pizza Place is now open. Staggering views across barley fields.

“Open Friday and Saturday 2pm-6pm, three-minute walk down the field from the Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

“Featuring Diddly Squat Farm flour, Diddly beef, fresh Diddly veg and oils. Served up by Baste. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.”

Clarkson has had to jump through a lot of hoops to be able to have his farm shop and restaurant on Diddly Squat Farm, which we saw some of on season one of Clarkson’s Farm and are set to see more around the restaurant in the upcoming season two. The West Oxfordshire District Council told the Oxford Mail last week that they were investigating the restaurant which opened in July. The planning permission was initially declined for the restaurant but after finding a loophole, Clarkson was able to continue with it, just not as originally planned.

A spokesperson for the council explained:

“The council was made aware of the restaurant opening at Diddly Squat Farm.

“As part of our standard operating procedure, we have been looking into the operation to ensure it is compliant with local and national planning law and policies, as well as licensing and food hygiene regulations.

“We cannot comment on any ongoing investigations.”
