The Grand Tour’s Jeremy Clarkson Makes Hilarious Dig Towards Top Gear And The BBC

Jeremy Clarkson has a rich history of throwing shade at his previous employer, the BBC. Since the fracas that caused the now Grand Tour presenter’s contract to not be re-signed, he’s made multiple comments on Twitter, DriveTribe, and even in a Grand Tour episode, calling out the BBC, Top Gear, or its presenters. Now, he’s made another comment on Twitter that might have been hard to spot for some.

It began innocently with him tweeting about what music played from a random shuffle on his a walk he just took:

Music shuffle on today’s walk. Carpenters Allman Brothers. Fatboy Slim ELP Mellencamp Loving Spoonful Don Henley and Louis Armstrong.

“Music shuffle on today’s walk,” he wrote. “Carpenters Allman Brothers. Fatboy Slim ELP Mellencamp Loving Spoonful Don Henley and Louis Armstrong.”

Apart from receiving multiple tweets regarding the lack of commas and punctuation from his writing, which he blamed the lack of letter count on Twitter for, one fan asked if the song played by the Allman Brother was one of their most popular songs, Jessica.

This song, if you didn’t know, was the theme song to Top Gear, and is still being used since Jeremy, Richard Hammond, and James May’s leaving of the show. Obviously, the song means a lot to Jeremy, who replied to this tweet with the best reply we’ve ever seen on Twitter.

This reply was obviously a kick in the teeth to the BBC who forced Jeremy out of the Top Gear presenting position. Since then, he and his fellow presenters have seen great success behind the wheel and in the iconic tent of The Grand Tour, with three full seasons to their name and now a stream (however slow) of specials being released since then.
